Parent Action
Be part of the Parents and Communities Together Project (PACT) and become one of the MumSpace volunteers. MumSpace is a unique group which offers mums the space to have a weekly workshop whilst children/babies are looked after by volunteers. The group seeks to make sure that the mums are at the heart of everything we do. The volunteers role involves helping to set up toys, prepare juice and snacks, joining in with singing and other activities during circle time. We would also encourage you to get to know the parents that attend. Many of the pregnant women or mothers that come to MumSpace are isolated and without a network of support and we aim to fill this gap. While mums are participating in the workshops for half an hour the volunteer playworker would oversee the children playing.
Friendly, approachable manner
Loves to work with children
