Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering

Friends of Red House Ramble

We aim to assign one or two projects to those who join up. These have not yet been decided but here is what previous volunteers have done to give you an idea of what might be required:

  • running a christmas stall
  • clearing away brambles and chippings in order to plant saplings and stools which made up a 'fairy ring'
  • removing sticky weed, snowberry, ash and sycamore suckers which are bad for the health of other plants
  • helping to refurbish a path
