Pearey House in North Shields is looking for a friendly, reliable volunteer to provide practical IT support to staff, visitors and groups who use the building. This is a wonderful chance to help keep our systems running smoothly and ensure everyone can make the most of our digital facilities, all while giving back to your local community.
You will be the go-to person for day-to-day IT queries and light technical support – helping with everything from setting up devices and troubleshooting basic software issues to getting equipment ready for meetings, events and community sessions.
This is a low-pressure, flexible role for just a few hours each week, ideal if you have a bit of know-how and would enjoy sharing it with others. No formal qualifications are needed – a practical, patient approach and a willingness to help are what matter most.
You will join a welcoming team at Pearey House, meet new people, and make a real difference to how our community space works for everyone who visits.
This opportunity is coordinated through the Social Inclusion Team, North Tyneside Council.
