Bistro Assistant – Front of house

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

 

·       Taking food and drinks orders behind our Bistro counter

 

·       Serving food and drinks prepared by our Bistro Team

 

·      Processing and taking cash and card payments

 

·      Preparing sweet and savoury dishes

 

·      Making specialsed coffee drinks, inc Lattes

 

·      Help washing dishes

 

·      Cleaning tables

A free meal and a drink are provided during your volunteering session. 

What skills do I need?

You will need:

·       customer service skills

·       the ability to work well with others

·       the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure

·       to be thorough and pay attention to detail

·       excellent verbal communication skills

·       a desire to help people

·       active listening skills

·       a good memory

·       to be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

About The Cedarwood Trust

Cedarwood is a community hub based in the Meadow Well estate in North Shields. We focus on supporting our visitors to make use of opportunities to improve their health, education, leisure, and economic situation. Our core themes are community support, training, food poverty and child development. We rely heavily on volunteers to provide our range of activities and services.
