Marketing and social media volunteer

Roots for Change

The Marketing & Social Media Volunteer will help Roots for Change UK raise awareness, grow community engagement, and showcase the positive impact of our work. This role is vital to connecting with supporters, promoting events, and building our online identity.

What skills do I need?

Manage and update Roots for Change UK’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).

Create engaging content such as posts, stories, videos, and graphics to showcase our activities.

Develop social media campaigns to promote events, fundraising appeals, and volunteer recruitment.

Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely and friendly manner.

Track engagement and suggest ways to improve reach and impact.

Work with the team to align marketing with the charity’s goals and values.

Support with basic design of flyers, posters, or newsletters using canva (training can be provided) 

About Roots for Change

We provide welfare services, and we offer 7 different courses in partnership with WEA, such as community interpreting, health and social care, teaching assistant, maternity support worker, and others, we offer ESOL classes every Friday at St Vincent's support center and also make some organic products workshops to help people get their finance independence such as how to make natural candles, bath salts and medicinal balm.
