North Tyneside VODA
Welcome to the Good Neighbours Project – where small acts of kindness make a big impact.
As a volunteer, you’ll be offering practical support to people in your community—much like a good neighbour would. One of the key ways you’ll help is by supporting older adults and individuals who may have limited access to shops or online delivery services.
Your time and care can make a real difference. Some people may be living alone or going through a period where a bit of extra support is needed. By helping with tasks like shopping, you’re not just delivering essentials—you’re offering connection, dignity, and peace of mind.
This role involves direct contact with those you’re supporting and may include handling money. Don’t worry—we’ll provide clear guidance and ongoing support to make sure you feel confident and prepared.
Thank you for stepping up. You’re helping to build a stronger, more caring community—one visit at a time.
As a Shopping Volunteer, you’ll be asked to:
